About The Role
The team seeks an experienced Communications Consultant to drive the growth of the media monitoring platform in mainland China. The ideal candidate will have a solid media or SaaS-related sales background with a proven business development, client acquisition, and relationship management track record.
This role involves identifying and targeting key market segments, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet clients' media intelligence needs. The successful candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and able to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition while providing engaging platform demonstration to mainland China clients.
As the Communications Consultant for mainland China, your role is pivotal and instrumental in developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for the all-new, all-in-one, AI-powered media monitoring platform, which supports Public Relations and Corporate Communications (PRCC) professionals. Your contributions will directly impact our company's success and the adoption of our innovative solutions.
You will be at the forefront of introducing sophisticated technology to media teams, illuminating how can transform their media strategies and operational efficiency. Your core objectives will include driving robust sales growth and broadening our market footprint strategically and sustainably. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with PR, Communications, and Media stakeholders within leading corporate and, eventually, government entities, inspiring you to bring your best to the table.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Initial lead generation will be supported through a structured referral program, providing a foundation for client outreach and relationship building.
- Proactively identifies and cultivates leads from a highly targeted market of PR, Communications, and Media Managers and their respective organizations.
- Cross-sell new SaaS tools and services to existing and prospective clients, maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with an existing Account Management function to seamlessly support and transition new customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, and market developments to inform sales strategies and approaches.
- Timely handle customer feedback and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Skills You’ll Need
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a B2B Sales position, preferably with experience in media monitoring or related industry sales;
- Bachelor or Master degree in Communications/ Media/ Public Relations, or relevant field are preferred;
- Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on solution-selling and genuine relationship-building, and the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing situations;
- A strong interest in SaaS platforms and/ or media/ communications, and a demonstrated background in subscription/ technology/ digital based product sales
- Strong ability to speak compellingly over the phone and present via screen share;
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with prospects and clients;
