Jackpotjoy plc is the parent company of an online gaming group that provides entertainment to a global consumer base through its subsidiaries. It currently offers bingo and casino games to its customers using the InterCasino, Costa, Vera&John, Jackpotjoy, Starspins and Botemania brands.
Since January 25, 2017, Intertain (the client) is an indirect subsidiary of Jackpotjoy plc and continues to be a reporting issuer in Canada.
Making a good first impression in a new marketplace

An Analyst Day web conference with attendees both domestic and across the pond creates a lot of technical moving parts, which has been a headache for Jackpotjoy in the past. “For our last Analyst Day, we used in-house services and unfortunately ran into hiccups with both the internet connection and video quality,” said Amanda Brewer, Vice President, Corporate Communications at Jackpotjoy Group. This was the first time that many investors and analysts would be introduced to Jackpotjoy’s c-suite executives, the brand, customer base, and the way the company communicates their information. “It needed to be high-quality not only in the room, but online for our North American investors.”
Provide high-quality online and offline experience for global investors
Jackpotjoy came to Cision, early on to see what the company could offer it with respect to audio and video conferencing, especially to avoid technical difficulties. “I needed to have a firm understanding of the logistics around web conferencing, along with all the A/V and technical requirements within the back-end of the system,” said Brewer.
The Analyst Day required webcast services, which included audio and video conferencing and had to allow for a large number of North American investors to connect. While not a complicated set-up, the conference required a lot of coordination between regional teams (click to tweet). “We needed to not only work with Cision sales in Canada and their multimedia team in London, but we were also coordinating with our ground support team and the hotel staff where the in-person event was being held,” said Brewer.
Due to the nature of the material, Jackpotjoy had a few last minute requests for the Cision team. “We needed the ability to pre-screen participants to ensure that the right people were on the call and that those who were restricted access couldn’t find a way in,” said Brewer. “Cision rolled with these changes graciously.”
Impressive, glitch-free event
From a technical perspective, the event went off without a hitch. “With investors spanning over many countries and time zones, participants aren’t always forthcoming with positive feedback,” said Brewer. “At this event, we had really great feedback from attendees both in the room and online.” (click to tweet)
The coordination of multiple teams and vendors played a big role in the event’s success. “Given Cision’s size and depth of their experience, and the fact that they have teams globally, [we] approached them with every confidence that they could put together not only the right products and services, but also ensure that the event ran smoothly, which it did,” said Brewer. As a result of this positive experience, Jackpotjoy will continue working with Cision on future projects, even now that official operations have moved to London. “We are keeping lines of communications open,” said Brewer.
