We are looking for outstanding Program Managers to join the Cision IT team. Program Managers at Cision are aligned with executive leaders as a trusted advisors on technology solutions, trends and opportunities. The program manager is expected to understand the business objectives, current technologies leveraged and to work with the business to define a technology transformation roadmap. The program manager will directly manage Cision’s most critical transformation projects while overseeing project management resources for smaller less complex projects. The Program Manager is a member of the IT PMO and will report directly to the Vice President, IT Project and Program Management.  


  • Partner with functional and IT stakeholders to build and deliver global technology roadmaps that simplify and transform the business 
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects 
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget 
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation 
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress 
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs 
  • Report and escalate to management as needed 
  • Manage the relationship with the client, stakeholders and 3rd party vendors 
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors 
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps for documentation and communications 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation 
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of goals 
  • Responsible for project managers delivering projects within your portfolio 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 


  • 5+ years’ working experience in project management, preferably with sales, finance or marketing projects 
  • Knowledgeable of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices 
  • Experience with project outsourcing, included RPI/RFP, fixed bid projects, contract management and offshore development teams 
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills 
  • Highly proficient in working with global matrixed teams 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Project 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus 
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience 
  • Able to travel up to 20%, if needed
