The role:

To increase sales across the universe of companies and PR agencies in the UK by establishing PR Newswire as their exclusive, preferred or transactional supplier for press release distribution. We are looking for a self starter who has 2/3 years in a new business role, must be money / target driven with an out going but professional attitude and manner.

Duties and responsibilities:

·       To develop new business sales across existing and prospective clients for Newswire services over the telephone and face to face
·       To reach or exceed specific targets by achieving pre-set criteria on revenue generated
·       Highly proactive by ensuring that all clients are handled to the highest standards and everything is known about their corporate PR and marketing communications requirements throughout the year
·       New Business generation across all markets by generating own leads and proposing solutions that lead to maximisation of revenues
·       Ensure regular contact with clients and prospects on the phone and through meetings
·       Highly proficient in demonstrating all PR Newswire services and products at all levels
·       To become an ambassador for PR Newswire by developing strong relationships with customers face to face, through contact during meetings, presentations or at industry forums
·       Always be one step ahead in client negotiations by using lateral/creative thinking to outsmart and out think the competition

Essential Skills and Experience:

·       Results driven
·       Proven track record in sales 2/3 years experience
·       Presentation and demonstration skills
·       Demonstrable ability to work in a team
·       Experience of working towards and achieving set targets, individually and across the team
·       A demonstrable commercial approach to daily duties
·       Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, ensure deadlines are met
·       Fully computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The standard working hours will be 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17:30  excluding one-hour unpaid lunch break per day.
