This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and support of commercial software, ensuring it meets all business and client requirements. 

You will help us by:

  • Contributing to team efforts to produce high quality software inclusive of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment and support
  • Adhereing to established protocols, procedures, and best practices to ensure quality of code
  • Writing clear technical documentation and comments in code for other developers
  • Writing unit tests and automated test scripts
  • Participating in team meetings and encourages an open, collaborative team dynamic
  • Communicating with team and management about deadlines, roadblocks, and status
  • Keeping up to date on relevant technologies, methodologies, and tools

You will be a good fit for the role if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Programming, or similar field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong aptitude for writing well designed, testable and efficient code
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology, tools, and techniques
  • Understanding of modern software architecture and methodologies
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment: learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

You will be a great fit for the role if you also have the following:

  • Familiar with one or more object-oriented programming languages, Java preferred
  • Familiar with continuous integration/build automation systems, such as Jenkins or Bamboo
  • Familiar with relational databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, or SQL Server
  • Familiar with JavaScript, and one or more JS frameworks (Angular, React, Node)
  • Comfortable in both Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
