The Vice President of Product Marketing is a strategic, high-impact leadership role responsible for strategic and tactical action, in the shape of new product launches, sales, and partner enablement programs that benefit our customers, partners, and business. Your objective is to drive awareness, adoption, and optimization across our key segments. This is a global team leadership role for an experienced Product Marketing leader who understands B2B mid-market and enterprise SaaS, customer success, sales, and product. The ideal candidate has leadership and talent development experience while understanding first-hand how to analyze and understand key market segments, elicit customer insights, identify new areas of opportunity, and develop innovative strategies for increased market penetration and expansion. You'll combine legitimate expertise across the marketing mix and learn Cision’s products quickly, distill technical value, and drive mass-market appeal. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a highly skilled ambassador and coalition-builder across technical and non-technical teams (e.g. Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Partnering, Sales, Post-Sales)
  • Collaborate across Sales, Product, Channels, and Customer Success to develop a holistic perspective across our solution set with a view to drive market segmentation and analysis, understand target segments and needs, define ideal customer profiles and personas, identify emerging market segments, prepare market and solution forecasts.
  • Build business cases showing market sizing, opportunity analysis, key messaging, pricing analysis, competitive reviews and ROI, with supporting analysis for new ideas and opportunities. Communicate plans across Marketing, Finance, Product, Sales, and senior management.
  • Develop (and shepherd your team's) go-to-market strategies for projects and solutions and lead cross-functional team on execution of launch plans for these new solutions that yield exceptional results again key performance indicators
  • Create and deliver key messages enabling our Marketing Communications and Growth Marketing teams and partners to execute relevant campaigns and programs.
  • Develop innovative and professional materials to support Sales in selling solutions such as, but not limited to, pitch decks, sell sheets, videos, blog posts, etc.
  • Experience contributing to overall pricing analysis and pricing strategy


  • 10+ years of product marketing experience, 5+ years as a people manager 
  • Experience in SaaS (B2B, mid-market and enterprise software), with readiness to share and implement best practices on day one. 
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, and mentor top talent. 
  • Previous experience working with mid-market and enterprise product teams. 
  • Proven leadership skills, with ability to coach and mentor direct reports and others 
  • Strong interest in understanding and representing the voice of the customer to the company and launch process in partnership with the customer marketing leader utilizing insights gleaned from our customer success team and datasets 
  • Strong abilities in the areas of analysis, strategy development, problem solving and decision making. 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentation 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with coworkers, partners and customers 
  • Market research experience strongly preferred 
  • Experience with product-led and solution-led growth a plus
