This job is responsible identifying, progressing and closing cross sell opportunities within Cision’s existing client base. You will be the subject matter expert on either Cision Software, Insights, Impact or Distribution solutions and will be directly partnering and collaborating with account managers across Canada to collaborate and drive new software/insights/Impact/distribution sales. This role will also be responsible for supporting retention opportunities for winbacks and accounts at risk, as required.
Collaborates with key/mid market account managers and account directors to identify sales opportunities within their account base, contribute to the Sales strategy and partner with internal stakeholder teams to ensure right-selling of appropriate solutions.
Drive cross-sell/net new sales opportunities in Cision’s account/prospect database;
As a subject matter expert, you assume a lead role to provide ongoing consultation to demonstrate the value of Cision’s enterprise solutions/applications via online or in-person client presentations and meetings.
Create and conduct customized demos/presentations for prospects, develops tailored proposals and negotiates all commercial terms with the account manager
Partners with multiple internal client service groups and stakeholders to execute an efficient onboarding post-sale process for all new clients.
Follows through on post sales workflows with onboarding managers, client success managers and account managers;
In collaboration with the RFP Specialist, you will be responsible to assigned retention RFP’s and inbound received NBD RFP’s.
As an Earned Media thought leader, you may help conducting or lead webinars, participate in events or help write blogs
Maintaining and delivering on all Sales KPI’s outlined for the role;
Understands Cision’s evolving product and technology developments and proactively monitors industry trends and best practices to enhance overall service delivery and client experience.
Liaises with industry associations and actively networks for new business opportunities.
Manages day-to-day sales development operations.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, communications, marketing or a related field is required.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in new business development or sales overlay capacity across multidiscipline industries.
High degree of expertise and knowledge base of earned media and communications workflow solutions.
Advanced technical software skills, adaptable to learn, understand and navigate a variety of software tools and techniques is required. Demonstrated expertise providing software training to business users is a strong asset.
In-depth knowledge and proven track record of success with SaaS sales and/or cloud methodology is required.
In-depth knowledge and success attaining sales targets and building the sales pipeline.
In-depth knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software coupled with reporting capabilities.
Advanced and demonstrated ability to build relationships, persuade and influence clients, leaders and stakeholders.
Comprehensive expertise and exposure to social media and digital marketing initiatives.
Advanced analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Advanced time management, attention to detail and organizational skills. Adaptable and flexible with an ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressure and demands.
Advanced listening and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, a consensus and relationship builder with a collaborative leadership style.
