Cision is seeking a great Senior Sales Manager - IR to join its US sales team. This candidate will be focused on driving new sales to Cision’s IR suite of services by partnering with publicly traded companies within the US.  

If you enjoy working in a leading organization with a fast-paced environment and have a passion/interest in media, technology and finance this is the place for you. In this role, you will own the end to end sales cycle with prospects and be provided comprehensive and ongoing training via sales enablement to drive your development and success. 

A day in the life
·         Working closely with the VP sales you will leverage your tools to outbound outreach to prospects to identify net new opportunities to close; 
·         Attend networking events, webinars and other special events as required with our industry partners; to develop and establish relationships within our client’s community  
·         Join your sales colleagues teams scrums to share best practices and ideas; 
·         Work collaboratively with marketing for any generated inbound leads and manage opportunities to close; 
·         Maintaining and delivering on all Sales KPI’s outlined for the role; 
·         Create and conduct client presentations, develop tailored proposals and negotiates all commercial terms; 
·         Follows through on post sale work flows with onboarding managers, client success managers and account mangers; 
·         Constantly stays updated and well versed in Cision’s evolving product, technology developments and proactively monitors industry trends and best practices to enhance overall service delivery and client experience.  
·         Liaises with industry associations and actively networks for new business opportunities 
·         Manage day-to-day sales development operations. 


  • Experience working in finance or investor relations is an asset 
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years experience with proven NBD quota achievement 
  • Working knowledge and success attaining sales targets and building the sales pipeline. 
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software coupled with reporting capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, persuade and influence clients, leaders and stakeholders. 
  •  Comprehensive expertise and exposure to social media and digital marketing initiatives is an asset. 
  • Stays abreast of the latest sales methodologies, tools, best practices and processes in the industry / marketplace. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration, communications, marketing or a related field is required.
