Focusing on lead acquisition, this role fuels Cision’s demand funnel by developing, designing and collaborating with executive stakeholders and Sales leaders to implement campaigns that generate demand for Cision products and services. This role works to continually innovate and improve the lead generation strategy using e-mail campaigns, direct mail, social media, content syndication and list buys. The incumbent thrives in a dynamic environment and uses creative and out-of-the-box thinking to drive leads for the Sales pipeline.
Conceptualizes, plans and executes highly effective and innovative campaigns that drive lead acquisition.
Manages a team of up to 3 demand Generation Coordinators and/or Specialists; supervising daily activities, performance management
Develops deep domain / industry expertise in order to create proper audience segmentations and target audience profiles that drive campaign strategies.
Works cross-functionally with product marketing, sales, marketing operations, content and creative team members on campaign strategy; manages regular check-ins, program calibration and 4-quarter planning.
Optimizes the buyer’s journey from evaluation to conversion, ensuring best-in-class experience. Uncovers what motivates various personas to evaluate and purchase across their lifecycle, guided by data-driven insights.
Creates campaign briefs that communicate the purpose and goals of the campaign, drive the implementation through project plans and deliver quality programs on-time and on-budget.
Manages lead acquisition, nurture and follow-up; collaborates with MDR, SDR and Sales teams to ensure strong follow-through on sourced leads.
Tracks program results, measures program success and reports metrics via SFDC. Presents findings, actionable insights and recommended improvements to stakeholders and sales teams.
Helps grow Cision’s database and deepens its relationship with current prospects through a broad range of lead nurture campaigns.
Works with stakeholders to collect business requirements, document use cases, generate ad hoc reporting and analyze data to determine trends and insights to help direct the business.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or related field is required. Exposure to a global media distribution organization or SaaS based environment is an asset.
Minimum of eight (8)+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably in a demand generation or integrated marketing role. Experience building collaborative relations with a sales team.
Strong background in campaign development and marketing program execution required, including lists segmentation, campaign design and reporting. Strong campaign orchestration, message optimization, persona and buying cycle experience required.
Experience planning and managing complex, multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, whose primary aim is demand generation. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail and flawless execution. Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage deliverables from other stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes on time.
Ability to present program strategy and plans clearly, and to collect and act on feedback from a broad group of stakeholders. Ability to evolve marketing programs based on performance data, feedback from sales and understanding of the business.
Working knowledge of social media platforms and SEO is required. Proficiency in Salesforce and Eloqua, including ability to build campaigns, define audience segments, ensure regulatory compliance with email marketing, build emails and landing pages with minor HTML coding, and prepare campaign results measurement.
Solid SFDC reporting skills to prepare and manage campaign and demand generation performance reports.
Ability to plan ongoing marketing testing and optimization, integrated with ongoing marketing programs, leading to continuous marketing performance improvements within media, messaging performance, channel optimization, and lead KPIs.
Deep familiarity with core marketing, campaign, and sales metrics, and the ability to define and manage the metrics required to manage and optimize digital marketing programs and campaigns. Experience running and analyzing reports for marketing KPIs and understanding of lead management metrics and calculating conversion rates.
Strong analytical, problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, recommend and implement changes and improvements. Creative thinker, self-starter.
Advanced listening and verbal communication skills to understand stakeholder needs or problems, and respond clearly and concisely.
Advanced time management, attention to detail and organization skills. Adaptable and flexible with an ability to respond to changing work priorities, pressures and demands.
