The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition team for the Americas, focused on Sales and providing leadership to Talent Operations. This includes managing the team of recruiters and specialists, creating and executing a talent acquisition strategy, managing the relationship with third party vendors, building rapport with business stakeholders, and driving the development of key metrics to measure the performance of talent acquisition across the Americas (US + Canada) for all levels of Sales positions.


  • Sets direction, recruitment strategy, and guides priorities for the TA function for all Sales roles in the Americas
  • Manages a team of recruiters and talent operations specialists
  • Consults and builds strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their functions and key business goals, proactively partnering to determine current and future talent/competency needs, and developing sourcing strategies that create a robust talent pipeline
  • Recruits and hires ‘top talent’ for key Sales roles, managing the full lifecycle recruiting process—source quality candidates, screen & interview candidates, schedule interviews, utilize company applicant tracking software, offer letter, and ‘close’ of the candidate
  • Creates recruiting strategies for targeted talent pools, including early career/college talent, diverse talent, etc.
  • Establishes talent acquisition best practices—effective screening/selection tools & techniques, strong sense of urgency to fill, identification of strong talent, variety of sourcing techniques, strong consultative communication with the hiring manager, market trends, selling of the candidate to the hiring manager and candidate on the company/position, recruitment workflow, ATS optimization, etc.
  • Executes best in class TA processes, training, and communication practices (e.g., New Employee Orientation, email templates, behavioral interview training, etc.) to provide an outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience
  • Develops and promotes a comprehensive employer brand strategy that defines our position in the marketplace as an Employer of Choice
  • Participates with external committees and organizations in area of recruitment, establishing positive community outreach relationships—a strong Cision talent brand ambassador
  • Utilizes social media and builds a strong personal recruiter brand that attracts and builds a network of potential candidates—a talent magnet
  • Establishes and maintains key reporting metrics to measure recruitment progress, in order to provide visibility for stakeholders and to make data-informed decisions about strategy
  • Develops and maintains vendor relationships
  • Participates in larger HR/Talent Acquisition projects and initiatives, as needed


  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong technical recruiting background, with 7 + years of Talent Acquisition experience
  • Brings high volume sales recruiting experience
  • Natural sense of urgency; works well in a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Ability to both be in the details (metrics and process) and also think big picture – strategically
  • Outstanding communication skills—verbal, written, and listening
  • Technologically savvy; familiarity with Lever, Taleo or other candidate management system
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the execution of a recruiting strategy and objectives
  • Has a strong professional and positive presence/image that represents the company/employer brand, both internally and externally
  • Ability to both manage recruiters and personally handle a requisition load of open positions, actively moving all positions in the recruiting process and to hire/close (at the core an outstanding recruiter)
  • Ability to confidently consult and partner with all levels in the organization
  • Possesses a continuous improvement mindset to continually evolve the function and meet the ever-changing business needs
