The role of a Senior IT Engineer is quite broad. In this role, you will support in the fullest sense the internal system needs of every Brandwatch employee worldwide. You should be as happy under a desk plugging in cables as sitting at it researching, developing, integrating and implementing new tools and working practices. Brandwatch staff will rely on the technical solutions you support, design and build, which enable them to deliver an efficient and reliable service to our customers.

In the IT Team we see the needs of the end user as paramount and we pride ourselves on the energy, enthusiasm and approachability that ensures that they get the best support possible.Based in Sofia, you will be working closely with the IT Team in the USA, and Brighton and the Berlin based Systems team.

Requirements:

Your duties will include:

·       Overseeing and participating in the day-to-day support for the IT operations globally
·       Managing Google Apps and other cloud based productivity services
·       Assisting and supporting the Apple Systems Administrator with the Support, maintenance and management of macOS and iOS devices.
·       Managing Apple hardware using Simple MDM
·       Designing and implementing technological solutions to meet staff needs
·       Planning and managing IT related projects across the company
·       Setting up new services and systems
·       Scripting solutions and integrations between systems 
·       Overseeing Procurement and purchasing of hardware, and software licences.
·       Providing support for a limited number of Linux and Windows machines
·       Organising and supporting our staff running conferences and events in Europe and the USA.
·       Support and mentoring junior members of the IT Team

The following experience is relevant to us:

·       5 or more years working in an business or eduction IT support role
·       Hands on Apple and macOS management and support skills
·       Managing Windows machine with Azure/InTune
·       Hands on scripting and system integration skills
·       Understanding of information security management and security compliance (preferably to industry standards on ISO27001)
·       An understanding of DNS, DHCP and network fundamentals
·       Technical support and customer service experience in general
·       Knowledge of ITIL or similar methodologies
·       Knowledge of Personal Data regulation

These skills will also be beneficial:

·       Knowledge of one or more of: Apple deployment mechanisms, JIRA, OpenVPN, LDAP, Google Workspace, MicroSoft Endpoint Management
·       Ability to script tasks and integrations with Bash, Python or Ruby
·       Hands-on experience of installing and troubleshooting Linux, ideally Ubuntu
·       Hands-on experience of installing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows
·       Any qualifications in Linux, Apple, Microsoft or ITIL
·       Excellent problem solving skills
·       Good written and verbal communication skills
·       Ability to learn and develop
·       Self motivation
