Scanning Operators are responsible for the receipt of publications delivered via post, logged into DML and to scan the publication accurately to the department’s quality requirements. Assisting internal teams processing and reprocessing physical and digital content. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of manual dexterity and may have experience in scanning and data entry.

  • Assist internal teams when required to
  • Carry out administration duties accurately and within deadlines when required
  • Communicate all issues to the appropriate personnel to ensure that problems are picked up early and addressed in an appropriate manner

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience operating with industrial scanning machines desired but not essential
  • Manual handling knowledge to work with sharp tools and safe transporting of publications
  • Communication: good verbal and written, and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to thrive under pressure
  • High standard of literacy is essential
  • Attention to detail

The standard working hours will be 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 08.00 to 16:30  excluding one-hour unpaid lunch break per day.
