Product Analyst

As a Product Analyst, you will develop programs to provide internal business intelligence to the Cision product and the broader organization. You will play a central role in reporting on product usage, engagement and performance, leveraging customer satisfaction scores, reviewing engagement data from services like Pendo, and Fullstory, as well as using backend analytics directly from Cision's world-leading products. Your ability to swim in a data lake, fish therein using sources like Salesforce and Pendo, and then work through tools like Domo and PowerBI will be critical. 
 
It isn't how much data you've got that matters, it’s instead how you use it. Creatively managing multiple requests to hit multiple birds with as few stones as possible is key. Your ability to identify trends, and knowledge of the tools used to present those insights will accelerate Cision's capacity to learn from customers, while expanding our awareness of how our customer's usage of our services impacts their satisfaction and renewal uptake. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • You will be an arbiter of data by effectively analyzing product performance to drive business impact   
  • You will manage the process for collection & synthesis of product insights in alignment with the Product Leadership team 
  • You will create reports and dashboards on a scheduled basis for use in Cision’s quarterly planning process  
  • You will uncover new sources of data/API and other means to improves our understanding of product performance and usage 
  • You will curate Cision’s Product Data Library, help people find and use the data we maintain 
  • You will work with our Software, Insights and Distribution Product lines and establish best practices for the collection and use of each team's data  
  • You will coach Product Managers, Designers, Product Owners, and Engineering team members to self-serve some of these data sources 
  • You will report into Cision’s User Experience Team to ensure product data and insights are developed and leveraged across Cision’s product organization  
  • You will engage and communicate with other cross-functional teams to provide data transparency to Sales, Account Management, and Customer Support 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in product management, business analysis, or other related roles 
  • Demonstrable experience building dashboards in Domo, Tableau, and PowerBI 
  • Demonstrable experience in creating reports out of Salesforce 
  • Mastery of Excel and its functions 
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills – you will not only share data but also tell a story with it 
  • Demonstrable experience with Python, SQL and other search programming languages
