Outbound Marketing Manager

The Outbound Demand Manager is responsible for creating outbound demand generation and lead nurturing practices to support the key lines of Cision business.  Partnering with the marketing operations team to define martech stack requirements and best practice approaches, the outbound manager will support Channel Managers working with the business units, providing support in shaping strategy, executing programs and monitoring performance to share insights and optimization recommendations.  

Key Activities:

  • Partner closely with the Channel Managers to develop and execute a multi-channel outbound demand generation strategy in order to achieve pipeline growth. 
  • Own lead nurturing programs to engage inbound leads and support moving them through the funnel. 
  • Work with the marketing tech stack enabled by marketing operations to support day to day programs leveraging email marketing, lead scoring, ABM, Google Analytics, reporting and more.  
  • Become an expert on our database, fields, and key data segments to provide strategic guidance on programs and support day to day program execution.   
  • Stay on top of outbound marketing best practices, analyzing our programs and constantly pushing our outbound practices across content, technology, attribution, programs and more.  
  • Partner with team business analysts to develop reporting on key demand gen KPIs, track progress vs goals, and ensure we have strong insights into performance and trends 


  • Minimum of 6 years experience in B2B marketing and outbound demand generation 
  • Experience working with teams in fast environment 
  • Proven demand gen leader and strategist. You have a track record of hitting aggressive growth goals leveraging a diverse set of channels and tactics. 
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner. You are great at building relationships, connecting the dots between different teams, and keeping everyone on the same page with clear and regular communication. 
  • Highly data-driven and technically fluent marketer. You’re highly effective at leveraging data to improve decision making and have experience with various tools and technology within the marketing tech stack to maximize impact. 
  • Strong sense of ownership and operational rigor. You’re excited about being responsible for hitting big targets and know how to create and execute on a plan to make it happen. 
  • Familiar with systems like Eloqua, Salesforce, Drift, and Google Analytics.
