Overview of role:
This role is to join the Media Research team and to be the guardian of the Cision database, maintaining the accuracy and detail of the database Nordics.
The Media Researcher Manager position manages the research team and tasks including safeguarding data quality and compliance measures to build out the Cision databases in the Nordics region.
Relationship building and collaboration is a must to research publications and individual journalists in order to ensure our database is as up-to-date as it can be, as well as responding swiftly to client requests for particular information.
It can be a fast-paced environment and the ideal candidate should be target driven and be able to keep up-to-date with key media industry news and editorial movements.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Manage the Nordics research team
Assist the Head of Data with the Nordic media research strategy and health of data/brainstorming to keep data on track and in good competitive health
Responsible for research tasks including project/work delegation, training, daily task management, KPI & targets and conducting performance reviews
Escalation contact for Nordic led data issues
Tasks also include researching and verification of journalist data, and updating the database accordingly in line with Data Protection
Maintain the accuracy of the database through productive research and data entry
Manage time efficiently to meet personal & team KPIs
Build relationships with editorial staff and verify information for allocated newspapers and publications
Proactively source media alerts covering journalist job moves/new launches within the industry
Help to support our client service team in dealing with escalated PR clients queries (journalist data)
Previous team management experience is a must
Superior organisational and planning skills are essential since several major projects can occur concurrently
Excellent Swedish and English language skills,
both verbally and in writing
Previous database experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work
Ability to conduct productive research via internet and telephone
Relationship building and maintaining relationships
Able to multi-task
Experience of the media industry ideal but not necessary
Computer literate (MS Office)
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential
