As a Junior Financial Accountant at Falcon.io, you will contribute to shaping the financial and operational structure for a fast-moving company with an international focus. You will be part of a team in the global finance department, with colleagues in our Sofia, Copenhagen, and Chennai offices. You will play an active role in managing the entire Purchase to Pay process for a specific group of suppliers within in a global finance function; you will also be ready to participate in accounting processes, especially at busy month end periods

What you'll do:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and related tasks such as processing accounts payable, reconciling bank accounts, booking accruals, updating fixed asset schedules, and running depreciation and amortization. 
  • Coordinate and/or prepare necessary statutory and tax reporting for your responsible entities. 
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of resp. Balance Sheet accounts and follow up on outstanding items. 
  • Ensure correct and timely posting and payment of all supplier invoices
  • Answer and clarify any supplier questions relating to the payment process
  • Support the month-end close and reporting process 
  • Participate in the optimization of finance processes across departments and entities
  • Provide analytical insight and reports for Management on an ad-hoc basis

What you'll need:

  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills - Falcon's company language is English. 
  • A relevant bachelor's degree (or higher), and would be considered and advantage, but not obligatory 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. 
  • Experience working with common ERP systems (Net Suite) - experience is preferred but not required. 
  • A solid understanding of general accounting principles and comfort with standard month-end close procedures, such as balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. 
  • An analytical mindset with a desire to fulfil tasks in a detail-oriented way. 
  • An outgoing personality, with a love for proactively tackling problems. 
  • The ability to communicate with colleagues and suppliers from all over the world.
