Cision is looking for a senior leader from our Enterprise Architecture Function. This role requires a blend of architecture experience, executive polish, business sense, and especially technical depth. As the Director of Data Architecture, BI and Analytics, you will be hands-on in crafting our strategy for managing and optimizing our Big Data & BI Architecture for global Cision.  You may also have responsibility to provide direction and manage fulltime/contract resources that work in this space. 

You will work closely with Business and IT Leaders across the globe to understand organization’s key metrics, KPIs, advanced AI & ML predictive and prescriptive capability needs, translate that into Data and Technology needs – including creating a modern data lake/data warehouse, diligently work to create a roadmap and multiple target state data architecture.  
You will become the vanguard of Cision’s Enterprise Data Assets ensuring the data is of high quality and fidelity. You will oversee the data pipelines, ingestion frameworks that are required to bring the data together at an optimal speed/agility. You will also own and manage the portfolio of technologies that will help fulfill our Data and Analytics Vision. 
You will evangelize the available datasets, techniques and technology across the business to create more enterprise value and through this value creation process – will generate excitement for bringing more data sets together to solve for critical business problems and create unique and better insights. 

You will help sets direction over the longer term and helps drive planning discussions. It articulates the context, priorities, and plans that set the boundary conditions and roadmap for the development of Reference and Solution Architectures over the prescribed period in the Big data & BI space 

Competencies & Experience:

  • Proven track record of identifying, targeting, and delivering business outcomes using Data, Analytics, Governance and BI 
  • Understands Data, Analytics, Governance & BI market trends and how they apply to multiple functional domains. Identified emerging technology that can created a differentiation for the whole business/function. 
  • Considered a trusted advisor to the IT & Business Exec Leadership Team  
  • Has experience delivering global results with little to no direction. 
  • Was the driving force for the well-being of Technology Portfolio of a global company or a Line of Business.  
  • Your actions had direct impact on the KPI’s that represent success for their organization or business unit. 
  • Seen as the person to help bridge the gap between IT and the business. 
  • Keeps the focus of the team by taking conceptual technical design and breaking it into executable parts to be handed off to next level architecture. 
  • Has the ability to align culture, skills, and methods across the architectural disciplines. 
  • Manages and owns strategic relationships with vendors that are key to the portfolio. 
  • Has multi-sourcing experience to manage and leverage SLA’s with service providers for maximized savings 
  • Understands regulatory and risk impact of a given company and able to minimize that risk using People, Process, Technology, Data and Appropriate Policy Development and Enforcement 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university – preferably in a STEM or Business Field. Masters in Business or Computer Science or IT will be a plus 
  • Minimum 10+ years of Relevant experience 
  • Organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • In-depth knowledge of IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures - relies on knowledge, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for purposes of both communicating with IT team members as well as other business departments. 
  • Ability to take initiative & manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. 
  • Organizational, project management abilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
