We are looking to hire a Director, Learning & Development – EMEIA/Global on a fixed term contract to cover a 12-month maternity leave. The role will be responsible for the design and delivery of our global learning and development strategy; working with the business, HR, and external providers to provide professional and high-quality development programs for the organization.
Reporting to the VP, Talent Management & Communications, the Director, Learning & Development – EMEIA/Global will sit within the Talent Management & Communications Centre of Excellence and work closely with the business and global HR team to develop our employees. They will be responsible for leading and managing operational and strategic development activity including induction, commercial and industry-specific training, soft skills, management & leadership development, technical & compliance training, and performance management activities. There will be opportunities to lead on project work, continuous improvement initiatives and coaching and mentoring team members. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to use their core Learning & Development skills and experience to shape the learning and development agenda across the organization and to create a high-performance learning culture.
What are we looking for?
Design and deliver Learning & Development programs with special emphasis on leadership curriculum.
Design and facilitation of in-house/soft skills training.
Lead designated high potential leadership programs, talent initiatives, and other development-focused activities for employees and leaders.
Support the performance management and talent management/talent review global processes.
Line management and development of a Learning & Development Coordinator.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven and successful experience in a senior Learning & Development role in a high profile, demanding, and fast-paced commercial environment is essential.
Demonstrable experience of building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of the local and regional HR teams.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong IT skills and proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong experience of using HR and/or Learning Management Systems.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to multi-task and maintain a high degree of accuracy whilst prioritising workload.
The ability to stay focused under pressure.
High degree of drive and initiative.
Strong experience and proven ROI in leadership/management development and training design and delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management at all levels up to and including executive level.
Strong team player, able to work within diverse teams.
Proactive with a willingness to learn and become involved in non-core tasks.
A good understanding of working within a global and matrix organization.
Educated to degree level or equivalent is preferred.
CIPD, HR and/or L&D Management certificate.
