Job Summary

  • Objective: meet or beat financial targets for Enterprise new business growth, specifically within the F1000 customer segment. Cision’s Enterprise customer segment is defined by deals > $100k ACV
  • Develop a world-class Enterprise new business team of experienced, skilled sales hunters/closers (4) within the 1st business quarter of being hired
  • Key participant within the Commercial Leadership team to develop ongoing sales execution strategies aimed at taking market share from competitors within the F1000 segment
  • Responsible for generating new business & developing strong client relationships to ensure client retention & incremental revenue
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Sales representatives on growth strategy, sales enablement & training, proposal development and closing new/upsell business
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to develop and execute a Cision Enterprise market positioning plan
  • Work with product marketing, events, demand generation and public relations teams within Cision marketing to support Enterprise new business sales strategies & execution
  • Deliver thought leadership marketing through writing and public speaking directed towards Cision’s target audiences - PR/Comms & social media professionals
  • Represent Cision and Cision Insights in professional associations (I.e. the Institute for Public Relations)
  • Serve as a senior-level communications research consultant for prospective clients
  • Partner with RevOps to develop standardized reporting & success metrics around: sales pipeline, sales activity, prospect engagement, new proposals generated & proposals to upsell base, contracts lifecycle & revenue performance
  • The position operates largely on an independent basis; it does not require a high degree of supervision or guidance, but does requirement alignment with other commercial business leaders across Cision’s business units

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for business growth for the media analysis/Insights group through sales, sales enablement, and marketing
  • Assist Insights leadership in formulating and executing our strategic plan performance
  • Develop & manage (4) highly skilled enterprise sales hunters experienced in closing F1000 new clients
  • Data-driven & proactive analytic approach to sales execution strategies
  • Partners with sales at all levels in prospect targeting, proposal development, pricing, and deal closing
  • Responsible for the ongoing retention and growth of Insights accounts in partnership with Sales Leadership; collaborates on upsell opportunities as well as net new business opportunities, contributing to RFPs and pitching efforts.
  • Serves as a senior-level consultant to C-Suite level client executives, contributing to strategy sessions and in-person client meetings as requested and required.
  • Facilitates a robust and effective communication process to provide progress updates and educate internal stakeholders within a global team.
  • Work with marketing to properly position Cision, Insights and the media analysis group within Cision Insights
  • Deliver thought leadership content (writing and public speaking) to reinforce our position as research-based consultants & global PR/comms industry experts
  • Represent the company in professional communications associations


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in media analysis or research-based consulting
  • Significant sales/consultative experience with F1000 companies
  • Strong connections to and/or membership of PR and Communications professional associations or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
