The Director, Content Licensing and Syndication's mission is to maintain and grow existing distribution relationships and to expand partnerships primarily with global partners (aggregators), key websites and other leading end points for maximum exposure for the content issuers. This position will work closely with legal in terms of contract maintenance, renewals and expansion. An important focus will be to expand licensing agreements and to double that revenue base over the next three years.

A key component of the network is the ability to report placement and engagement to content issuers. This role will ensure maximize visibility and reporting from our partners and maintain a productive relationship with internal product departments.

The employee can work remotely and is expected to operate independently. The ideal candidate will have served in a content licensing and syndication role, with a strong background in partnership relations, content licensing and contract negotiation. Require minimal assistance in the capacity of performing duties other than, primarily, discussions around strategy and targets. The position requires problem solving skills when dealing with current partners and negotiating with new partners.  


  • Developing new and existing global content syndication partnerships for Cision in line with corporate strategy
  • Identifying, licensing and implementing Cision content to targeted endpoints in various vertical sectors.
  • Growing license revenue by focusing on financial services and asset management sectors.
  • Identifying and initiating contact with net new target sites, negotiating agreement, maintaining records, ensuring timing/dates met, maintaining and updating contracts.
  • Maintaining/enhancing the current and ongoing license relationships


  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in content licensing
