Demand Generation Specialist

The Demand Generation Specialist will be a key member of the Canadian Demand Generation team, planning and executing weekly Marketing activities and supporting long-term acquisition and retention goals for Cision Canada. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Demand Generation and is responsible for planning, crafting and executing inbound campaigns, including marketing emails, nurture programs, landing pages and webinars. Other tasks include website management and Content optimization using Uberflip, CRM management in Salesforce and Eloqua, copywriting, and tracking and measuring campaign performance. The role will work closely with the cross-regional Content team and acquire marketing assets, and Marketing Operations to setup programs and workflows to ensure proper attribution for campaigns as well as align closely with the rest of the Cision global marketing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize and execute demand programs (emails, webinars, landing pages) in partnership with marketing team members across regions to support the Canadian SDR and BDR sales teams with high-quality inbounds that result in product demos, opportunities and closed/won deals
  • Develop and own the monthly Content and Social Media calendar to increase top-of-funnel sales activities by coordinating with cross-regional marketing teams
  • Work with Marketing Operations to identify and manage customer and prospect segments to maintain a healthy marketable database to support growth strategies using Eloqua and Salesforce
  • Monitor, track and respond to mentions of Cision / Cision family brands and products in both online and offline media using Cision Communications Cloud and platforms, including Social Media Listening, Monitoring and Online Reputation Management with the support of cross-regional Social Media team
  • Work with Senior Manager, Demand Generation to setup nurture and ABM infrastructure supporting acquisition, cross-sell, up-sell and retention and win-back campaigns assisting sales hit targets
  • Own the end-to-end content adaptation process. Review content relevancy in the Canadian market, oversee language translation to Canadian French and manage marketing asset development
  • Plan, setup and produce webinars using On24, with internal and external SMEs to support sales and marketing objectives
  • Track, measure and report on campaign performance
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing or a related field is required. SaaS or B2B industry experience is an asset. Job Code: 9584 Updated: September 2018 Page 2 of 3
  • Minimum of 3 years marketing experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally to manage and execute customer programs that drive engagement, advocacy, revenue and retention
  • Well versed in the current marketing trends, practices and techniques
  • Advanced listening and verbal communication skills to understand stakeholder needs or problems and respond clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management skills including conceptualization, managing deadlines and objectives and execution of plans
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
