Customer Specialist - Press Release Distribution

 

Our Customer Content Specialist team consists of supportive and goal-driven professionals who are dedicated to helping our client base find success through our diverse portfolio of communications solutions.

In this role, specialists will work directly with our clients to ensure their press releases are distributed to their desired target audience to help drive their corporate objectives. Working as a team, our specialists are the primary point of contact for our clients throughout the distribution process and act as product experts and strategists to align service offerings with a client’s communication needs. Specialists also offer recommendations on content best practices to help increase engagement and visibility.

We’re looking for a candidate who has the ability to:

  • Job Summary/Essential Duties: 
  • As a Customer Content Specialist based out of our bureau, you will set the foundation for a long and prosperous career with the global leader in news and information distribution for press releases. 

  • Essential Duties: 
  • One of your main responsibilities will be to proofread press releases written by our clients for delivery to the media 
  • You will not be writing pieces from scratch, but you will need a strong grasp of syntax, punctuation, and the English language in general to be a success at this job. 
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail will be a prerequisite, as you edit, format, and handle various client requests, and other news content (e.g., photos, video). 
  • Your ability to think on your feet and prioritize tasks will serve you well in this fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Your strong computer skills will enable you to quickly learn our internal system. Our dynamic environment will keep you on your toes, so a flexible attitude and a strong customer-service approach will be needed. 
  • As the face (or voice) to the client, your outstanding communication skills and ability to grasp our clients' needs will allow you to build long-lasting relationships and establish a professional rapport while quickly meeting customer demands. 
  • Key to continuing PR Newswire's reputation for providing excellent customer service, your consultative approach will be essential as you answer clients' questions and proactively recommend our solutions to engage their audience.

Additional information:

  • Must be fluent in both English and French.  
  • Shift schedule is Tuesday - Saturday, 1PM - 10PM EST.  
  • Position is eligible for a 20% shift differential.
  • Must live in Cleveland, OH or Albuquerque, NM
  • 1-10 pm ET, Tue - Sat - Wednesdays and Thursdays in the office, the rest would be work from home.
