As the Community Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be part of a dynamic team at the helm of a vibrant, buzzing community of marketers who work and play their way through an ever changing industry. Falcon.io is sitting on a tremendous opportunity to build a home for and unify its audience via a shared vision. Therefore, you will take full ownership over our online community. This includes growing our “Grow With Social” Facebook group, launching a podcast and connecting the dots between the online community and all other marketing efforts. Another part of your role is to project manage a cohort of events from our annual calendar. You will conceptualize, plan, and execute mostly virtual events (occasionally physical or hybrid) for a global audience.  

To be successful in this role you will need to follow a two-step mantra and that is to educate and to entertain in creative ways to keep the attention of an audience that has seen it all.  

Responsibilities:

  • Online Community (60%) 
  • Own, PM and grow the online community (OC) 
  • Main moderator of FB group & daily tasks 
  • Launch & take over "Grow With Social - Brainsnacks" podcast 
  • Creative behind growth initiatives of OC (membership increase, next step evolution, increasing UGC) 
  • Connecting OC to other assets and programs cross-team, especially our social media 
  • Liaison cross-team and cross-department for equal representation & involvement in OC  
  • Content sourcing, planning and publishing in OC 
  • Establish an influencer, advocacy and thought leadership program  
  •  
  • Events (40%) 
  • Creative & PM of biannual multi-series virtual summits, roadshows 
  • Strategy, execution and production of a cohort of virtual and in-person events 
  • Focus work around new business and customer engagement contributions 
  • Draft cross-campaign copy (email, landing page, social/ads) 
  • Create cross-campaign infrastructure (landing pages, briefs, cross-team tasks) 
  • Scouting speakers, managing staffers 
  • Content creation for Insights Hub, partnership content, slides 
  • Internal + external stakeholder management pre, during and post-event 
  • Contributor to the English webinar program (hosting and behind the scenes) 

Requirements:

  • Marketing maven. Ability to plan, build and execute marketing community events and partnerships. 
  • A goal-driven approach to your tasks. Comfortable with working towards set targets. 
  • A social media savvy and fresh approach to storytelling which you can translate into any format – from podcast episodes, posts in our Facebook group to a branded deck created for a presentation. 
  • The eagerness and ability to be a social connector. You are the hub of your social world. You know everyone. Everyone knows you. The fun one. Diplomatic, too.  
  • Houston, we don’t have a problem! Excellent problem-solving skills and good technical knowledge. 
  • Details matter and you don’t mind spending an extra second to go from good to great.  
  • A love for writing! Strong writing background and ability to meet project deadlines.   
  • Outstanding consultative skills including objection handling, negotiating, persuading. 
  • You have a digital marketing or events Bachelor’s Degree or similar degree. 1-2 years of work experience preferred but hey, if you’re fresh out of school, creative and check off most of those boxes above apply away.
