Talent Acquisition Partner
, you will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting for various lines of businesses across the Americas. The right individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possesses the ability to creatively solve problems while adapting to our evolving dynamic business needs.
Responsible for the full lifecycle talent acquisition covering Product & Engineering, IT, Marketing, HR, Ops, etc
Builds rapport with leadership and driving the hiring process with the candidate and hiring managers
Partners with hiring managers and recruiting team to develop, implement and execute recruiting initiatives
Sources candidates via various methods (virtual events, campus recruiting, databases or social media) and seeking out new ways to source for candidates
Sources, screens, interviews, and follows up with candidates during the interview
Providing excellent client and candidate experience
Reporting on hiring progress and targets to TA lead and business
Other tasks as assigned
2+ years full life-cycle recruiting experience
Exceptional recruiter – able to create strong candidate pipeline and close offers
Ability to handle various recruiting activities effectively and efficiently
Confident – leads from the front
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent candidate and client management skills
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Working Environment and Demands
The job is primarily performed in an office setting.
Regular requirement for multi-tasking, simultaneous multiple urgent demands and work requiring attention to detail, subject to frequent, regular interruptions, and peak periods requiring an accelerated work pace or deadlines.
Occasional exposure to uncomfortable, challenging or hazardous conditions in the workplace. (Examples could include any or all of the following: physical elements such as, dust, noise, odours, hazardous substances or equipment, a higher likelihood of exposure to conflict, or aggression etc.).
Salaried job based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday days. Occasional requirement to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of the organization. This job has no requirement to be on-call.
Occasional travel is required to other Cision offices for interviews and post-secondary institutions for job fairs, within Ontario and Quebec
Regular requirement for manual dexterity / coordination for computer, phone, calculator and office equipment use
Sustained requirement for light physical exertion typical of an office job, such as sitting, standing, walking and operating office equipment;
Minimal requirement for heavy physical exertion, including sitting for prolonged periods with limited freedom to switch positions, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. (e.g. job fair materials for presentations, gifts and resumes).
Regular requirement for low-intensity mental, visual or aural concentration for such activities as reading, inputting data, taking notes.
Sustained requirement for high intensity mental, visual or aural concentration such as analyzing resumes, listening to calls, face to face interactions of a more complex nature (i.e.: candidates and managers)
Senior Director, Human Resources: Approve expenses over $500, travel/vacation and recruitment changes to process. Corporate updates, approves goals and reviews evaluation
Executive team: Approves requisition to hire, EAF and offers. Also interview and make final hiring decision
HR Team: HR Team: Discuss areas of concern, recruitment updates to the team
All employees: Answer recruitment and HR questions, Internal hiring process, Onboarding of new employees
Global Talent Acquisition team: Monthly recruitment updates
Recruitment Agencies: recruitment process and negotiation of agreements - weekly, per mandate
Post-secondary institutions: job boards, job fairs and COOP process – as needed
3rd Party Providers: background check provider, psychometric testing, job boards, Applicant Tracking System provider/support– as needed
Previous employers (reference check) – as needed
The job has the accountability and authority to:
Determine sourcing plan and costing with job posting providers.
Make recommendations to hiring managers regarding applicants.
Negotiate agreements with recruitment firms / agencies.
Negotiate with candidates.
Determine applicant eligibility to move forward in recruitment process.
Escalate recruitment related issues, when needed, to HR Manager and/or Senior Director, Human Resources.
Escalate to management/executive team for approvals on budget and hiring approvals.
