Last month, I moderated a panel discussion at the Canadian Investor Relations Institute’s 31st Annual Investor Relations Conference that explored the unique challenges facing companies joining the emerging Cannabis industry. In this session, we discussed the barriers and opportunities for new entrants as they matured into listing candidates, the path to legitimacy from a legal, financial, and investor standpoint, and how communications and marketing pros should approach Canada’s most newsworthy new market.

Joining me to discuss the issues, challenges and excitement around being a part of this new industry were:

  • Jeanette VanderMarel, Co-Founder and President of Good & Green, Co-Founder of The Green Organic Dutchman
  • Vijay Sappani, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, TerrAscend
  • Julie Shin, Director, Listed Issuer Services, Toronto Stock Exchange
  • Rebecca Brown, CEO of Crowns Creative

You can view the full archived webcast of the discussion here.
