Navigating Cision’s Influencer Lists

By James Breen, @jameswbreen

Identifying key influencers in the media can be difficult.

Contacts can often change positions and you might not be familiar with up-and-coming bloggers or freelancers. Many of the changes we make to our CisionPoint software are based on community feedback and one of those changes is the addition of Canadian Influencer Lists.

We took information derived from our Cision Influence Score which measures how influential media contacts and outlets are in Canada. With this info we created the top 50 media influencers in different categories like Business & Finance, Fashion & Beauty and Technology. These influencers can include media contacts from print publications, broadcast outlets and even bloggers and freelancers. If you subscribe to the CisionPoint Media Database, you can find these pre-made lists under the Plan menu and “Lists and Searches.”
